Awesome compilation! (I’m listening to live “jump “right now*. Dave sounds a bit old, but I’m screeching as loud as I can jump in my mom’s car. * (get it? Boo Sammy!)
Wow!

These digital remasters sound amazing. What can you say? These were incredible albums. For those criticizing the live album… I guess they aren’t aware of Dave live. I have a bootleg of a 1982 concert in Largo, MD… Dave is doing Dave and while he’s older, he’s still Dave. Live he’s more of an entertainer than a singer and he always has been. Don’t let the negativity dissuade you. These are well worth the price of admission. Definitely better than the cassettes ever were.

I like some of the songs by Dave but this whole album forgets about the Sammy Hagar years in Van Halen, you can’t forget the classic why can’t this be love, and the song 316, and the song Roundround, this is not the Van Halen collection.
Good Van HALEN collection

If you want Van Hagar, go buy the Hagar albums. If you want Van Halen, this is a good set. The live album is okay, but it has all the DLR albums, which is real Van Halen.
Diamond Dave is the true lead singer

Never never never, diamond Dave was is and will alway be the true front man of the band a real on stage presence. Sammy was just a follow up.. sloppy seconds !!!!

Old school VH is the best but the live album at the end when Old ass Dave can’t sing anymore is garbage.

Buy the individual albums because this has is nothing but a few albums and rehashes of those same albums as “live” versions. Jeez it doesn’t even have the Hagar era.
How is this a collection???

So I guess all the other great albums with Sammy are being tossed aside, how stupid.
The real Van Halen

The original line-up was Van Halen. Sammy was good but it was more like Sammy Hagar's solo albums than Van Halen. Glad they made this collection with the classic band.
Sammy Collection.

I grew up listening to Van Halen with David Lee Roth. As others stated, I still have their cassettes.
But I am also a fan of Van Halen with Sammy. I love them both. I think they should release a collections with Sammy Hagar!
It's not VanHalen w/o Roth!

40 years later, VH is still some of the best music around. Glad Roth is back, VanHagar didn't have the same magic.
why no hagar?

I love Van Halen and I love all these songs. But there are no Hagar era albums?!?!?! That's why the three stars instead of five.
No Sammy Hagar Era? Really...

They shouldn’t have put the live at tokyo on there because Roth’s voice is horrible my god, he’s better off lip singing. Sammy can out sing him still and he’s older. Also, why didn’t they put the Sammy Hagar albums on this??? They all went #1 plus that was the highest point of their career and some of the best song writing they ever had, because of Sammy. Good job VH brothers! Not...
STRANGE CONCEPT

I get it, the Classic DLR years, but why cut out “Different Kind of Truth?” It’s part of the set, especially since the live album is included here too.
No Sammy?

This is no a true collection without Sammy Hagar. Eddie needs to sober up and understand Sammy is an important part of the bands legacy.
True live

Well...Aerosmith just dropped there "rocks donington" live album today. Now maybe all the Dave bashers will go away and just realize what the difference is between live and "tweeked"!!!
