This was the album that introduced me to Shinedown in 2004 and I’m still in love with it 20 years later. It’s a masterpiece
Insane!

Shinedown's first album….. and it's fantastic!! All of their albums are fantastic, and their live shows are to die for. Most likely the best band ever.

I love this song and I think that Shinedown did an amazing job covering it. I love the vocals and the guitar! The song has a lot of meaning, the emotion used in his singing really does it justice!
Just get it

Shinedown is by far one of my favorite bands and of course all of their music is awesome. I especially love he lyrics to all of their songs. They ate geniuses. I think that if you like this you need to get the deluxe version of "the sound of madness" an listen to son of sam. Yes I know that it's about a serial killer but the lines: your ceiling, falling Peice by pieces, raining down like concrete just make the song perfect. So what are you waiting for?
After three Shinedown albums, still BY FAR my favorite!

This album has everything: excellent melody, great vocals, and smooth listening. I can't really point out any song on this album that I don't care for. This is what an alternative album should be. Kudos to Shinedown for accomplishing the nearly impossible task of making an entire album worth listening to all the way through!!
amazing.

Shinedown: Simple Man (Acoustic) Review

This was a wonderful song. I have to say I would have never thought a group could do a Lynyrd Skynyrd song better than Lynyrd Skynyrd themselves, but I think Shinedown's version is a lot better.
epic album!!

I hadn't heard of shinedown untill there latest album, sound of madness. But as soon as I heard devour on the madden soundtrack, I was hooked. I recently bought the deluxe CD that had a concert and music videos on it. SInce then I have been On Itunes buying more great Shinedown songs. Us and them had some good tracks(Save me, Heroes, trade yourself in...) but as a whole wasnt great(still very good, but not as good as either of the shinedowns other albums). At first I wasn't a huge fan of Leave a Whisper, but after hearing stranger inside, and crying out, I realized that Leave a Whisper(especilly the deluxe version, with simple man and the title track) was Shinedowns best album to date. It has a great mix of hard driving rock songs(crying out, stranger inside) and powerful softer songs(45,simple man) Overall, I give the album 5 stars. Rock on Shindown!!
Love it :)

The Leave a Whisper album was by far one of Shinedowns best albums. Hug fan, becuase i can relate to almost all of their songs. but i'm still a big fan of The Sound Of Maddness. Love those songs. and it just bugs the crap out of me that i'm only 6 cents short from ordering the delux one..... it kills me.
Over all. AMAZING
Fell in love with 45
Good Shinedown, but...

There are four lines in "Soon Forgotten" that are identical to four lines in the One Less Reason song "Seasons." Why is this, and which came first?
Anyway, Leave a Whisper is definitely one of Shinedown's better albums-- give it a listen!
