Shinedown deserves more credit than they recieve. When they redid "Simple Man", I was amazed. Not many modern bands can redo classic rock songs and make it sound as incredible as the first. Well done!

I discovered this band on the radio and they have not disappointed me upon research. Their acoustic version of simple man is heart piercing and goes right to the soul. Props and great vocals.

My absolute FAVORITE song by them is Simple Man!!! The original was great and hard to beat, but Shinedown outdid themselves! They went over the top and did an AMAZING job! I love it! I love it!
The beginning of an amazing band.

This is the debut album of the amazing band Shinedown. This album is not as good as Sound of Madness, but is still very good. The best song is 45. Buy the album~!

they fail at trying to cover this song i mean to think that they have the skill to make this sound good is shameful the only people who could ever make this song sound amazing would be the original Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shinedown you FAIL!!!!
Awesome Band

I gotta say, I recently drove to Columbus, Ohio to see Avenged Sevenfold and had never really heard of shinedown except for a few songs that I had heard on XM. They absolutely rocked that venue and the next day I was buying their albums. They are severely under-rated and I would reccomend them to everyone.
best shinedown cd

Not many people know that guitarist Jasin Todd is married to the late legendary lead singer Ronnie Van Vant, of Lynyrd Skynyrd. This song is a nod to his would be father-in-law and their roots in southern rock. This song was recorded at "Made in the Shade" studio, which is owned by Ronnie's widow Judy Van Vant.
simple man...AMAZING

This album got me hooked on rock and alternative. My stepping stones I guess. I can't believe not many people have heard of these guys, the album is simply amazing. Ever song except for four are 10/10's. Better Version, In Memory, and Crying Out are 11/10's, and 45 is a 12/10 all the way. This is a must get.
ROCK ON!!!!!

If you're deciding whether or not to buy this album don't wait any longer!! I believe it's one of the greatest albums ever made. I like it especially because they dedicated simple man to their friend dimebag. If you like this band u should try listening to Pantera.

The song 45,although very depressing, is one of the greatest songs ever. The acoustic version is even better. The whole album is great.
