  • SHOCKING

This album is shockingly great. 18 songs and absolutely loaded with hits! From my 1st play through, I was instantly connected/attached to the songs - no typical soaking-in period needed here. Purchase it and listen yourself! **SATISFACTION GUARANTEED** I have never seen more work put in to making an outstanding album in my life! And it’s basically a double album! Shinedown is officially the hardest working rock band ever! Keep shining my brothers!! 🔥⬆️⚡️

If you are looking for songs with the emotions of 45, what a shame, simple man, or call me, you need to look else where. If you are looking for a driving rock song like bully, sound of madness, cut the cord, or cyanide sweet tooth suicide, you also need to look somewhere else. I hope you get my gist.
  • Hidden Concept Album?

I completely forgot this album was gonna drop just days after i saw Shinedown in Jacksonville on the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II tour. The songs from this album preformed live got me excited about it's release. Safe And Sound was the opening song of the concert and it rocked my face off! Now after listening to this album on repeat, i have discovered a hidden concept record of sorts. A journey from childhood innocence, believing you are invincible, fearless and immortal. All of a sudden the child experiences a tragic event of loosing someone very close to them to death. I like to think their childhood best friend. This event causes a mental health break down. The child doesnt know how to process the lost and basically becomes an over medicaded prisoner to mind altering pills. The years of this treatment takes it's toll by only masking the pain and sadness they experience in daily life. Time moves forward they become a young adult addict to whatever ultimate high they can find at the club. Social world events ensue and war breaks out. The young adult joins his country's military to try to escape their reality. Trying to find a new way to kill the pain, a new way to possibly end it all. Longing for death. This choice begins an internal struggle unleased by the horrors of the frontline of war. Their mind splits into two different personalities. Throught the battle they wrestle with their true self and the monster deep inside that has surfaced. Activities of war allow the monster to kill and destory the emeny, but there is still no release from the daily mental anguish of the past. The war ends, unsuccessful with death, the young adult seeks out professional help. Through time and positive treatment they confront their past. They release, realize there's more to life, and start living again. They learn to leave the dead buried, and move on without their searchlight. Learning that heartaches may happen, disappointments may come, but their is still a wide open world just waiting to be explored. Maybe its just me, but i thought i would just share this idea with the other Shinedown fans on here. I had to rearrange the song order, and delete two songs, and add two bonus tracks from a few albums back. It your interested in hearing the story here's the tracklist: 1-Young Again 2-Three Six Five 3-Headcase(Attention Attention bonus track) 4-Dance, Kid, Dance 5-So Glad You Asked 6-ANWTD(Attention Attention bonus track) 7-Burning Down The Disco 8-Outlaw 9-Machine Gun 10-Deep End 11-Safe And Sound 12-Killing Fields 13-Imposter 14-At The Bottom 15-Back To The Living 16-The Pilot 17-Searchlight 18-Wide Open deleted songs: Dizzy and Bear With Me

Lots of new sounds and instruments. Lots of upbeat songs and some of their more classic sounding bangers.
  • This is how you put an album together.

Well put together album with variety to each song. Seems like a lost art to making an album that each song punches differently than the one prior. Heavy rotation going through my ear buds. 🫡
  • Same like the last 3 albums

Don't get your feeling hurts but since Threat To Survival everything sounds the same!! Even for 18songs it took 18months to sound 70% the same since 2015!!
  • Love Shinedown Love Eight❤️❤️ every song is excellent!

Another excellent album!! Love that every album has a different sound , a different feel to it! No one album sounds like another version of the older album. No one song sounds the same!! You hear one song off Threat to Survival ..hear another from Attention Attention …to hear another off Eight and the songs all sound different, a different feel..”But yet you still hear Shinedown”!!! This album is another hit! They write their own songs, and largely produces their own music!!

As another reviewer said. The more one star reviews I see. I love it more. This band has gotten older with me. They are evolving. In my opinion it’s their most progressive album yet. Keep it up boys. Don’t listen to 1 star haters!

I’ve been a fan long before Leave a whisper, been a fan since Brent was in Dreve. So this album threw me for a loop. Overall it’s a better album that Planet Zero. It’s another evolutionary record. It’s a good album but it’s all over the place. There’s some songs that belonged on PZ and Attention Attention that were cut from both of those records and now they are on Ei8ht. So it’s kind of just all mished mashed together but it works ! All in all it’s a great album could of done without the 18 songs especially “ the pilot” might be their worst song ever made. Would of given it 5 stars but I didn’t like 3 of the songs. In my opinion I rank the albums as followed best to not so best cause they really don’t have a bad album. 1.Attention Attention 2.Amaryllis 3.Leave a whisper 4.Threat to survival 5.Eight 6.Us and them 7.Planet zero 8.Sound of madness
  • i love it

no matter how much an artist has changed, Shinedowns music is forever so good, it doesn't matter the style of the music to me, it matters the story you tell in your music, so haters you can hate but really, no one cares

I love this new album from Shinedown. It’s slightly different from their other albums but it’s still Shinedown. And who wants to hear the same album every time?

Half the album is pretty good, the other half seems like they could have done without 🤷‍♂️
