Where's "Love Minus Zero/No Limit"?? It was track #8 on the original CD! Also, "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" & "Desolation Row" are flip-flopped.
MINUS 1 star for the faux pas.
Great renditions, shredded voice

Everyone ages. Sometimes an artist's voice doesn't age at the same rate that they do, and it can cause some songs to sound strange in the modified versions that result. As a big fan of Dylan's 60s and early 70s work, I can say that the vocals on this album will be VERY hard to get into for a casual and/or new listener. In comparison to the studio tracks, Bob makes heavy changes to his vocal rhythm and delivery, making some of the songs sound slurred and unpleasant. However, the band sitting behind Bob is top notch, and it makes most of the tracks listenable. If you only give one track at shot, try this version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door." It's in a higher key than the original, and Dylan's wizened voice works well with delivery pattern he chose for the song.

Accept it that soon...these songs do indeed lose their relevance. Which I never thought would happen to Dylan songs. But even in 1994 some of these were pretty dated. No one would have said that 30 years ago. Except maybe Dylan himself. I don't know. But I guess I should criticize what I can't understand.
The old road is rapidly aging.

his voice was starting to go.. he couldn't even stand up for this show... John Brown is the other one that rivals the original... but Like A Rolling Stone is sad.. but this one.. way better than the 1963 version which started and stopped with shrieking harmonica and naivete. . . this one hits it.. great Bucky Baxter steel guitar.. a world weary version that comes full circle

Can't say I'm a huge Dylan fan, but he was always on a list of artists I wanted to get to know better. After listening to my dad's copy of this CD, I can't understand how anyone would enjoy listening to this. His voice is awful and he plays around with the rhythm of all the lyrics so much that the songs just don't flow. I listen to the original recordings of these songs and love them, but this unplugged version is actually painful to sit through.
A Great Late Live Dylan performance

Even though his voice isn't what it used to be, Dylan puts on a great show here. Definitely worth listening to. I particularly enjoy tracks 2, 5, 7, 8, 11.

bob Dylan will never die loved his voice then love it now, it is very rustic and has alot of feeling in it. You can tell this man has been through alot. I loved this album and, but not many hard core Dylan fans may like it.
He killed his own songs

I don't know wether he was trying to create a new style or maybe he just was not in the mood, but he took all the energy out of the songs on this show. I still love his songs, of course, but I have already erased this album from my HD.
Dylan Classics Reborn

As a young, budding Dylan fan, when I first bought the DVD, I was a little turned off by how worn Bob's voice was (and he never had much of a voice anyway.) But as time went on, it really grew on me, and I learned to appreciate the significance of Dylan's works. His use of a fully acoustic band will make Folk purists smile. But my favorite feature of this album is the new inflections he takes on some of his classics. "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Like a Rolling Stone," both originally played in the key of G, are now played in E, and it couldn't have fit more perfectly. Both of these songs were performed as beautifully and as passionately as I've ever heard them. The bluesy "John Brown" is another nice piece, and "All Along the Watchtower" is as chilling as ever. In conclusion, while Bob's voice is as raw and nasal as ever, all his songs are performed with inspirational passion. And his band backs him quite beautifully.

.."Searchin' Everywhere I Go..For Dignity!"..The "Unplugged" format has worked well & given a whole new audience to some performers; and here Bob Dylan takes full advantage of it! Assembling what would become the core elements of his "Never-Ending Tour" Band; Bobby pulls out some chestnuts from his Lengthy Library! {The last time I heard the harrowing war ballad "John Brown" was on an old Pete Seeger LP!} If you have ever have had the chance to experience Bob Dylan & his Band "Live"; you should know not to come with any pre-concieved notions or sentimentality! (He wrote "em; so he can slow 'em down or speed 'em up, Eh?) On "MTV-Live", Dylan really "Rocks The House"; check out the interplay between the bass & drums and that organ & guitar; the dynamics rising & falling as befits the lyrics! (I really dig how Bob & the Boys "Stretch Out" on the long numbers; "Rolling Stone"; "God On Our Side" & "Desolation Row"!) At this point, Dylan has been performing these tunes for over 30 years; People; so he can "Tweak "Em Up!" as he sees fit! (I've read how musicians who have played with Bob live have said; "You've got to watch hands for the changes!") To still be able to surprise and keep it fresh: "He not busy being Born is busy Dying!"-Right On!-...by Grimmbo.
