I just bought an original vinyl copy, and hearing it in its first format was more powerful than any recording. He was and still is a master at his craft. A true classic.

The earlier Dylan albums are all incredible. I've heard that if you play Betoven to your babies they will grow up to be smart. If thats true then I reckon that if you play Dylan they will grow up to be incredible

His songs and their meanings are beautiful and honest. Bob Dylan came almost 35 years from my time yet he is still an idol for me! I fell in love with his music through No Direction Home, and haven't been able to stop listening since. Thanks soo much for showing me Real music!

This album came out well before my time and, as a teen, I never really paid attention to Bob Dylan. I guess I found his delivery to be irritating and not very "smooth". It wasn't until I took a roadtrip with my brothers a few years ago that I first really took the time to listen to the words behind the music. I must admit, I was blown away. Never before had I heard such masterful storytelling and "deep" lyrics. At once sorrowful as well as thought-provoking, this album haunted me long after it ended. I was instantly hooked. I have since listened to a lot more of Mr. Dylan's music, and still consider this my favorite of his albums (followed closely by "Blood on the Tracks"). They just don't make music like this anymore...

This album is twenty times better then free wheelin bob dylan i have both. Not one song on free wheelin is better then times are a changing or with God on our side or actually any of these. If your wanting an album you can listen all the way through go with this one if your wanting an album that only two or three songs are good then go with free wheelin.

this album is slow but serious and brillant, true musicianship. my favorite is the lonesome death of hattie carroll, this song is awesome live. it is performed on don't look back and brings chills down my back every time i hear it. he recently sang the song at a november 2008 concert as a encore farewell to fans. it's griping and makes you pay respect to the transcdent

I have loved Bob Dylan as long as I can remember and in my opinion he is one of the most talented song writers ever. I've liked all of his albums, but this one would have to be my favorite (which is really saying something). I would recommend this to anyone, especcially if you're just starting to listen to Dylans music
