this song is very creative and different. it's not one of my favorites off of O!G, but it's pretty sweet. the guitar parts are awesome in the verses and the chorus. so go check out Oh! Gravity now cause you don't know what you're missing!

This is one of the better singles I've ever heard from any band. It has a grat tonal quality and a very catchy melody. Guitars are mixed very well and sound great. I think everyone should buy this single or buy Oh! Gravity just so you can hear this song.

What a well-crafted song! Love the shifting meter, and use of contrast in the song! Nicely done Switchfoot! Look forward to the rest of the album soon!

This song was so good, it actually scared me the first time I heard it. I'm completely serious. It was the most bizarre sensation. I had to listen to it again to regain my mental balance.
The best comparison to make here would be to a roller coaster ride - and in a good sense. You have absolutely no idea where this song is going to go when you're listening to the verse, and then WHAM, here comes the chorus like a hairpin turn that leaves you breathless. For the rest of the song, you're in for the ride and there's no getting off. It's almost like the song itself is playing by the rule of "dirty second hands," manipulating time and space like an intricately circuited machine.
Spellbinding work; a new sound and groundbreaking achievement for Switchfoot.
they really are......

Wow I love it! I'm glad to see that Switchfoot, perhaps one of my top 5 favorite bands, is growing up with their audience. Back in 2003, with The Beautiful Letdown, I loved the songs, but in the past three years, I've grown up, a lot, and I'm glad to see that, even though I still LOVE TBL, Switchfoot in experimenting with new music, and it sounds GREAT! Amazing job, way to keep it in my top 5...oh, and remember to buy Oh! Gravity, as well =)

This tune starts off with a strummed dobro part that is heard throughout the mix that gives this song a very haunting, alt-country vibe that leads into heavy rock riffs during what would be considered the bridge parts of the song. This song is hard to describe and one must just listen to this to get a feel for it. Close your eyes and let the music take you somewhere else. This is what great music does and this offering from the boys from San Diego is going to win them a lot of new fans. They keep maturing and progressing without leaving behind what got them here in the first place. I don't think they fit comfortably in any one genre of music and that is what separates the good bands from the great ones. Switchfoot has really upped the ante on this one and has stepped into the realm of greatness. What is also great is that you couldn't ever tell it by talking to any of the guys in this band. They are humble and real and that, my friends, says it all. Sing this one loud people!!!!!!!
New sound for Switchfoot

At least on this track, Switchfoot has gone with a new sound. It's the answer to the question, "What would you get if you crossed Switchfoot with Lynard Skynard?" (or the Southern rock band of your choice) And it sounds cool. It grabs you on the first listen and it doesn't let go for a while. I played it for my teen-age son on his way to school one morning. Seems we agree less and less on most things these days. Stay with me I'm getting to the point... at the end of the school day, after picking him up, he asked me about the tune. "I've had that song stuck in my head all day, and I don't know any of the words yet. Has that ever happened to you?, " he asked. Needless to say, he wanted to hear it again. You will too.
One great song and I hope there are many to come
