I love this album. It’s hard to find a song that I don’t care for in this 45 minutes of greatness. Finish line has to be in my top ten favorite songs of Skillet’s. Then the lines, the first will be last and the last will be kings. The small will be great and the great will be weak. In this is the kingdom gives me chills every time.
Get this album, you won’t regret it. Don’t listen to the other people, Skillet is still great.
ITS JESUS

Seriously, it’s laughable what some people have to say about this album. It’s a masterclass in Rock and Skillet once again flips the script on what a Christian band can be. 10/10
Love this

I don’t get it. This, to me, is Skillet at their best! This album is fire! From start to finish, the tracks are produced so well. The lyrics are some of the deepest, most clever and relatable they have ever done. The guitar work from Seth, and drumming from Jen are great. You all can hate all you want. This is one of their greatest albums!
Your Awesome

Victorious is the best album ever made. Period. What else can I say? Skillet is just a great band, releasing great albums like Comatose, Awake, and Unleashed. But none live up to Victorious. None. Where to begin? Victorious is everything I love about Skillet amped to the max - the rock solos, the driving beat, the perfectly timed strings, and the balanced vocals from Cooper and Ledger. It’s just perfect, there are no bad songs on this album (the closest you get are You ain’t Ready and Terrify the Dark but they’re still good) and the good songs one this album are just the best Skillet songs I’ve ever heard. Legendary, This is the Kingdom, Never Going Back, Save Me, Anchor, Finish Line, Dead Man Walking, Sick and Empty, Back to Life, and Dreaming of Eden I consider masterpieces (yes, THAT MANY). But the best song on this album, and my favorite song of all time, is the song Victorious. This song is what I consider to be the best song ever. Better than Don’t Stop Believing, better than Living on a Prayer, better than Bohemian Rhapsody! Victorious is the highest highs of Skillet, cementing this band as my favorite band ever. (From my Unleashed review, I accidentally gave it four stars. It deserves five.)

It seems like a lot of people haven’t given this album the opportunity it deserves. Therefore, in my opinion, this could go down as one of Skillet’s most underrated albums. I’m going to give each song a rating and a quick description (as well as I can). 1. Legendary (4.5/5): This song is the high-energy style that the band has come to be known for. It’s the perfect song to be first on the album (and the first single). The lyrics can be a little repetitive, but it doesn’t really take much away from the song overall. 2. You Ain’t Ready (4.5/5): Another high-energy song, this time a little bit faster paced. The chorus is the best part for me. 3. Victorious (5/5): The absolute best song on the album for me! This song hits hard, both musically and emotionally. I’ve seen this song described as a “song of victory” and I agree wholeheartedly. (Perfectly named too.) 4. This is the Kingdom (4/5): A different style for Skillet, and they did pretty well with it in my opinion. It adds more diversity to the album. 5. Save Me (4.5/5): One of the heavier songs on the album, and the guitars shine because of it. Personally, it took me a couple times to get into it, but once I did it became one of my favorites from this album. 6. Rise Up (4/5): Fast-paced and high-energy. Not quite as good as the other two on the album of a similar style (Legendary and You Ain’t Ready), but it’s still easy to get into. 7. Terrify the Dark (4/5): The first ballad on the album. It changes up the pace and adds another different sound to the record. 8. Never Going Back (4.5/5): This song gets back to the hard-hitting sound heard earlier in the album. One of my personal favorites. 9. Reach (4.5/5): Fast-paced and fairly heavy. The guitar in this song reminds me a little bit of Barracuda by Heart at times. According to the band (in a recent YouTube video), the story behind this song was the inspiration for this album. 10. Anchor (5/5): The second ballad on this album. Definitely one of the best songs on this record. 11. Finish Line (4.5/5): A similar style to This is the Kingdom, but still with its own, unique sound. Again, it adds more diversity to the album. 12. Back to Life (4.5/5): A fast-paced, heavy-hitter to finish the album. The perfect record closer. The interlude/outro continues this and adds the cherry on top. Overall, this album has the high-energy that Skillet is known for (Legendary), great ballads (Anchor), a different sound for the band (Finish Line), and a heavier side (Save Me). When I first listened to the full album I couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear, none of the songs are just “good enough.” On top of all this, the album is full of great messages and inspiration (this factor puts the record over-the-top for me).
