This was along the lines of what we’ve been asking for as a collective and they delivered! Whitney was in tip top form for Durban! Every performance is miles better than the iconic Johannesburg performance.
Releases like this remind folks of Whitney the performer and that’s what we should be focusing on. That other worldly voice she left us to cherish over and over! RIP Whitney 💜

This is Whitney Houston at her best. This show is exemplary of why and how 70k people stand just to hear her incomparable voice. Something happens all of us when this woman sings. The tone . The strength. The delivery. The mastery of her vocal skill is untouchable. Many singers can hit those notes, but NONE sound like Whitney Houston. She needs nothing other than to stand and let her voice soar. Seeing Whitney stand before a crowd, as beautiful as ever, and gracing everyone with a sound only she has ever produced, is an absolute must see.

Man, I picked up the only album with live material. Whitney was a gifted live performer, but somehow no one thought to make a proper live album with her. This isn't exactly a "hits live" album, which I'd maybe prefer for the first big live album, but at least it finally sounds GOOD. Her voice sounds in top form, I guess it was a special concert for the end of apartheid (which is cool), and there are a decent number of hits. Fans have really deserved a good live album from her. Glad whomever is in charge of the estate is finally giving up the goods.

To Whitney, my one and only favorite female singer, I want to thank you for recording and doing this concert. My birthday is November 9th, and this album will be released on November 8th. This is one of the best birthday gifts anyone could ever received. I will always love you, Whitney. I already know that this is THE live album of the year.

I love Whitney’s voice so much and to hear them try and add auto tune to an UNRELEASED CONCERT is such a shame. We don’t want tuned perfected vocals we want the true authentic performance that Whitney gave. Seriously so disappointed with this project
