The people saying it’s not her, CANT be real fans. It’s her young voice, also heard clearly on video from when she was singing at the church as a teen. It’s not the first time her young voice has been heard. Some of the songs are a young Whitney, still growing and learning her craft. And are beautiful when you think of how old she actually was. Beautiful album all around.

I love this album, and I am very happy that the estate, but this collection together. If you are a true, Whitney Houston fan, you know that there is no other genre that she loved more than she loves gospel music. Her faith was an essential part of who she was and she let it be known. She actually wanted to record more gospel music, but wasn’t able to give him the recording contract that she had it so I am so glad that this collection is out there for fans to enjoy and even have a few unreleased cuts that have never been released.This album and documentary are a great addition to her legacy, and I know that she will be proud of a given how important her faith in Christ was to her.

How are some you idiots saying that some of these songs aren’t her? You can literally hear some of the Whitneyisms in those songs when she was young. Anyways I’m glad they made a gospel album. I would have loved for more live performances.

The greatest voice of all time especially SHINES when singing gospel, the root of who she was and what she incorporated into ALL of her music. Great set featuring 3 songs that were recorded by a 17 year old Whitney. You can hear her mother’s heavy gospel influence on these three tracks (Testimony, He Can Use Me, and I Have Found a Wonderful Way) while coming into her own as a vocalist showcasing her classic melisma, power, and one-in-a-million head voice. As usual, Whitney especially shines on the live tracks, particularly This Day and He/I Believe! The album also includes most of the tracks from her biggest selling gospel album of all time, The Preacher’s Wife Soundtrack, so these tracks are all housed in one special gospel-specific compilation for lovers of gospel music to turn to. You get to hear Whitney from the very beginning stages of recording to her final studio recordings with 2009’s I Look To You and the chilling His Eye Is on The Sparrow, recorded shortly before she passed in 2012.
