  • Same ole thing!

They sound just like every other “rock” band out there! They do not have their own sound nor do they have a distinct vocalist! They are living proof that rock is truly dead when it comes to being fresh or creative in North America!
  • Disappointing Record Company Album

I am a big fan of The Warning, but their latest album is a huge disappointment. Although I was unimpressed with the songs I've heard on YouTube, I purchased the album to support the band. Now that I have listened to the entire album twice through, all I can say is that it is a giant step backwards from their previous work. Clearly this album was made by and for their record company (hence all of the new writers listed in the song credits - always a bad sign - as well as the new logo and branding, yuck). Unfortunately, the songs on the album are boringly formulaic and sound exactly the same in terms of how the guitars, bass, drums, and vocals are produced. The best of the bunch, by far, is Automatic Sun. But nothing on this album compares to the power, creativity, and emotional force of their previous albums. There are no interesting or memorable guitar riffs or drum fills. Dany has literally one short guitar solo, if you can call it that, on the song "Consume" - and it's surprisingly lame. This is not a rock album. Whatever it is, if you loved their previous three albums, this one will shock and probably disappoint you. I hope they return to their roots and once again focus on making great rock music, instead of chasing fake packaged stardom.

I do understand that bands and artists change and as is true with any review this is just my point of view. As has happened with so so many artists in the past they bottle lightning early on and Error absolutely was that. Now after that success it feels like a producer or possibly even worse the artists themselves have started to overthink it and we end up with an album that has a lot of over produced songs that have lost that raw element that made the last album perfection. There are still some brilliant vocal runs and the occasional fun riff, but it’s just dulled out and lost the bigger hooks in place of cookie cutter hooks that are mostly forgettable. The drums also sound either over processed or the aggression in playing has just lost its power. I’ll still be rooting for them, remain a fan, and hope their next album lands better, but sadly this album will gather dust on my shelf.

In their own words from the Six Feet Deep OMV: “Please be advised that the following music video by The Warning features exceptionally hard rock music. Viewer discretion is advised due to the powerful sound and high energy content. The Warning are known for their raw, powerful sound and dynamic performances that push the boundaries of rock music. This video contains loud, heavy guitar riffs, thunderous drumming, and passionate vocals that may be overwhelming for some viewers. If you have a sensitivity loud noises or intense musical experiences, please take necessary precautions. Prepare for an electrifying and intense auditory experience. You have been warned!”

The Warning is the next generation of Rock! Awesome album and great musicians. I truly hope these amazing young musicians keep rocking and stay together, they are sisters, but as they get older let’s hope they grow together. Solid album by a great band!

The Warning have done it again! These ladies have to be the most prolific songwriters to come along in decades! 12 more incredible songs! Still not one skippable song in their entire discography! I know of no other artist I can say that about!

Definitely an evolution of their core sound. These songs are definitely built around being played live, and knowing the Warning, they'll go even harder played in person.

The Warning 10 stars Amazing! But iTunes what the heck? I bought the two singles from this album before it was released. I then buy the album and those two songs are not on it? When I’m buying the album I expect the whole album. How cheap can you be! Get your act together iTunes.

After making their name within rock, the sisters have finally made the album that they have dreamed of for years and it shows. Dany, Pau, and Ale have put it all on display for all of us to hear from the opening note of Six Feet Deep until the last on Automatic Sun. This album kicks down the door and does not let up during the 40 minute runtime. The Warning is here and they aren’t going anywhere. The Villarreal sisters are saving rock and we should all be grateful for it.

The Warning’s veins are tapped into GenXers ROCK fore-bearers, while intertwined with their GenZ taste and musicality. It makes the rock wake that they’re creating flood our ears and hearts with HOPE for good ole RnR! Give ‘em a listen and enjoy being a “born again” groupie. I am. 😝🤘🏼❤️‍🔥🤘🏼🇺🇸🇵🇷🇲🇽 -Angel Andres
