As a nine-year old, the first song terrified me! And I suppose many thought they couldn't top the lead-off track of their debut. And that second song, what's that smell, stronger than burning leaves? And then what's that about squeezing his lemon? Yeah, they got criticism about ripping off the blues, but Clapton had been doing that, without adding anything substantial I might add. Led proved no music had more fire than adding a good dose of jalapenos to the blues. No one else has ever come even a mile close to Zeppelin's Hindenburg cataclysm take on the blues.
Amazing

As a Zeppelin Fans, I appreciated the Remastered Tracks released in recent years, and discovering new favorite songs (as in BBC Recordings). But a Compilation cant substitute the experience of certain Zeppelin Albums (Some fans would say all) But for me, THIS One remains Perfection.
A total classic!!

Nothing says hard rock more than this album. But yes, it is hard and heavy, but it has it’s soft moments, in songs like “Thank You” and “Bring it On Home”. For anybody who collects classic rock albums, this is a must-have.

This is one of my personal favorite Led Zeppelin albums. This album has a great flow, track after track. Also, this album has great vocals, great drum solos, and great guitar solos as well. Finally, the instruments wrap around the vocals like no other, and intertwine perfectly. Definitely looking forward to the next limited play album, and extended play album from Led Zeppelin.

I’m 55 now and only listened to Zep in the 70’s & 80’s when they were on the radio. Something made me begin listening to them recently and it’s like I discovered them all over again. IV is very good but I have to say I believe II is their best album. Every song is terrific. Maybe I’m trying to recapture my youth.

Got this for my 18th birthday.. I think it was a good album for an 18 yr older that did not notice the blues rip offs and studio over production for a band that was better in the studio than live.
One thru Nine, One of the Best !

won't even bother mentioning song titles, Just a great all time classic. Sometimes think of it as a early 70'd album, even though it's from 69.
Many great Zeppelin LP'S, but this just might be there best, and that's saying something.
A must for any true rock and roll fan. Lastnote, first, and fourth album and houses of the holy ain't to shabby either.
