This was very classic album by mister Mike. What makes this album so great is that Mike goes hard on each and every song showing that he really cares about his craft here. Secound the beats are so classic and the producer did such a great job by matching beats to Mikes sound. Third you can just listen to this album front to back and be happy and not skip a song. If I did have to pick what was bad about this album I would say there was one song that I was not feeling but other then that Mike did such a great job with this one by creating such a wonderful album here

I rarely listen to southern hip hop besides a few group like Outkast, geto boys, ect....I figured I give this a try since EL-P produced it. WOW!!! This album is political hip hop at it's best. Killa Mike speaks the Truth!!! listen and learn the knowledge this great mc is try'in to kick to the youth. The youth needs to throw out their Rick Ross ablums and pick this up. If you feel this and are new to hip hop and like political hip hop, also check out, The Coup, Immoratal Technique, old ice cube(up to leathal dosage) Jasir x and of course Public Enemy. Props to El-P on the production, as always he made some gully beats that fit perfect with mike's rhymes. This is in the top 3 hip hop albums on 2012, easy!

This album is phenomenal. Mike has brought forth a brilliant saga that is lyrically genius. The melody and musical composition that accompanies Mike's lyrics are in perfect tandem, evoking a fitting emotional response within the listener. You will feel the lonesome sadness and alienation the young man in "Willie Burke Sherwood" is carrying. You will feel the disappointment and resentment behind the man in "Anywhere But Here." You will feel the anger and suspicion in the politically charged "Reagan." Mike has evolved from his albums of past in that he has advanced beyond the typical dirty south fare (although, Mike has always been a pioneer in this arena to begin with). Take this journey with him as he paints a colorful, tactile, and emotional picture of little snippets of his life experiences and presents them in one moving and thought provoking anthology. This is the personal diary of a Rap genre genius.

Killer mike is an absolute breath of fresh air. The beats, produced by El-p are very complementary to mikes flow, and he speaks real stuff. I think it's crazy how this did not reach the billboards. People are sleeping on this album! Killer mike is one of the best out there right now

If you don't buy the album (which would be foolish) AT THE VERY LEAST buy the track Reagan. The production on this album is tight and Killer Mike varies his flow, content, and style throughout which leads to an album that I cannot stop listening to. I have friends that haven't been rap fans since the late 90's talking about this album and how it's bringing them back to rap after a long hiatus. I give it a listen at least twice a week and don't plan on stopping for a long time.
