I'm a big fan of Jin Akanishi. I'm a huge fan of him. However, this isn't his best work. I believe that working with Derulo only hindered what he could have done, and while it's great to want to be popular in the popular music market of America, I don't know if producing that kind of music instead of what's the real him is something that is that great. I don't know what he's trying for, but the Jin that you see in America is not the real Jin. I love him regardless, but it's this completely different concept from the message he tries to give to his Japanese audience, and that really doesn't set will with me.
Another criticism that I'd have to say is that he's gained a gaijin accent, and it's really not flattering at all. I would rather he have an accent in English than in Japanese.
