I watch Luke Cage and they featured "Good Man" in the first episode. I'm so mad i'm just now appreciating this incredible album.

Truly poetic, it just all feels so real, so very painful yet satisfying. So emotional yet so strong. So sensual and restricted so GENIUS!!! A true talent to be recognized!!

This collection of songs ROCKS! There is a soulful/sexy quality to Stone Rollin'. I think RS is able to make his style very accessible. Go To Hell and Over You are stand out tracks. Good Man and Movin' on Down the Line definetely have an old school vibe. Can't recommend this one enough. He is a true artist.

Seriously Raphael, I know you are an artist and this is the path you are on, but I really miss the old Raphael.
Look, I get that you are maybe are having a bit of an infatuation with this period style but maybe do it as a side project or just do a couple of songs on an album. You are a great musician, and you do this stuff well, but the fact is that if i want to hear '60s music I will just listen to the artists that originally did it back in the day. I know you are not alone in this retro phase but it is really getting old, no pun intended. Please get back to the sound that got me hooked on your music back when you were with TTT.

I love his sound in this album. He has definitely found his sound. In an age where every band seems to sound like one another, Raphael has created a new, old sound.
This album is good but not great

I was really feeling the soul vibe in "The Way I See It" but this album is more expanded stylistically. "Heart Attack" and "Over You" resemble rock songs with Raphael sounding like Lenny Kravitz. It just doesn't do it for me. "Movin' Down the Line" and "The Answer" are my favorite songs but the album doesn't have the same depth.
The Best R&B/Soul Album of the Year!

If you like vintage Motown, soul and R&B, this album is for you! Mr. Saadiq's style is undeniable. I'd put him up there with Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and D'angelo as the best current R&B artists. My 2 fav tracks are Good Man and Go to Hell!
Grooving!

I am so bummed that I JUST discovered this artist- I blame that on the radio and pop music. I love Motown and blues and Raphael is what our generation needs, a breath of fresh air and REAL perspective!
