Found the CD in a junk shop. As a long time Chicago fan one of the best albums, a lot of old Chicago here.

Not so fast! Before you hastily skip this super-weak album (can't blame you), make sure you download Robert Lamm's "One from the Heart," which is an underrated gem of a Pop tune (plenty of hooks, infectious vocals, jazzy horn chart, and catchy keyboards), not to mention the best Chicago recording between "Forever" from the 18th album and the Lamm-sung tracks from 1995's Night & Day and the original Christmas album (1998's Chicago XXV). Notice a pattern there? You should. Lamm's smooth baritone is the best thing about the post-Cetera Chicago. If he ever leaves the group, this once-great band will officially be toast.

If you are looking for the hit filled album like 18 and 19 you will be disappointed with this one. To me it has the feel of some of the earlier Cetera albums with one good song. The first one is okay on this one. Not much else is that great.

Call me crazy, it has and still is my favorite album. Perhaps because I'm a younger fan. I enjoy anything Chicago puts out there but 21 is the only album I can listen to from start to finish without wanting to skip a song.

Don't listen to these bad reviews! This to me is one great cd! Diana Warren wrote a few songs on here.Explain It To My Heart is a well written power ballad! This cd is full of power ballads! Great cd!!!

This album she be so much bigger, I stumbled upon it by accident one day and couldn't help but ask myself, why is this not more well known? Great buy in my opinon, lots of great songs on here, from breakup to love songs it's got everything you need. My personal favorite is What Does It Take, if you buy anything from this album that would be the song to get. But I say buy the whole thing, you won't be let down.

This album was basically ignored by the record company, radio, the general public, and even the band when it was released. It was almost directly released into the bargain bins. In fact, I went to a Chicago concert in NJ, and at one point, they said, "We'd like to play a song from our new album called 'You Come To My Senses'...we'd like to, but we won't". And that was that, they didn't play a single track. Well, at least one person believed in the album. Aside from the aforementioned track, I think "One From The Heart" is an excellent song...perhaps nothing on here is high art, but this is a song I pause to hear when it comes up on my playlist. "Chasin' the Wind" was the other 'single' from this album, and worth a listen, but don't skip "Somebody, Somewhere", "Explain It To My Heart" and "If It Were You", all of which capture the late 80's Chicago sound and vibe. "God Save The Queen" is thematically a departure, but clings to the musical mold the band has adhered to since the departure of Peter Cetera. It always puzzled me why this album was basically treated as a throwaway...it truly is worth a listen. If you are a Chicago fan who has not heard this album, you will find something fun on this album...maybe nothing groud-breaking, but something uniquely Chicago.

I don't know if it's just me, but I always felt some of these songs were reminicent of the Chicago 18 album and 19 too. I really like the vocals that Robert Lamm did on here!!! His voice sounds great on here. Bill Champlin rocks it out and Jason Scheff really has some power with his tenor voice on the ballads!

This is one of their offbeat album releases... but i love it! It's a mix of mainstream rock with a big band and heavy metal twist... weird but good!

This album was released in early 1991 while the face of music was undergoing a radical change from synth drums and keyboards and digital, antiseptic sounds to the new Seattle sounds that were earthier, harder, darker, and brooding. This album gives us more Eighties power ballads as the singles. "Chasin' The Wind", the first single, barely has a horn arrangement to make it recognizable as a Chicago song. Robert Lamm's written offerings, "One From The Heart" and "Only Time Can Heal The Wounded" make this vaguely sound like a Chicago album. "If It Were You" is passable pop-rock. "God Save The Queen" comes across as a heavy handed message. Chicago, if they have something politically to say, come across better when the message is more subtle. The remaining tracks could have been given to almost any Eighties pop group and be just as forgetable and undistinguishable. Because of the poor critical and public reception to this album, Chicago decided to make an album on their own terms instead of something that radio program directors and recored companies wanted them to make. That would be Stone Of Sisyphus. An album that would have more life, energy, and creativity than this "play it safe" album.
