Man… when this came out in 1990, I bought it, not knowing much of The Cure except what was on MTV at the time. I must have been 15 or 16. I remember listening to A Forest (Tree mix) for the first time and there was a big snow storm going on outside. I remember looking out the window watching these big huge super wet chunks of snow falling down outside my window as I listened. Just the most melancholy and beautiful experience ever. I love this album. I am taken back to those days overtime I listen to this.

hey I bought the album but the only problem is the song fascination street, I can't reproduce it only lasts until 32 seconds and when I try to play it to see if works it happens again, what should I do? thank you

I listened to this album on a long road trip when I was 15 years old, or about 20 years ago. It was a horrible trip - I was forced to sit in the back of a small hatchback and was driven by two people who didn't want me to tagalong. But they played this album over and over, and I feel in love with it. Despite the bad memory, I still listen to this album regularly and am as much in love with it now as I was then. Favorites are Close to Me and Pictures of You. In my Top 5 Albums for sure.

I'm not one for remixes, but I gave this one a chance when it came out on the heels of Disintegration. Outside of the great single "Never Enough," this release had little to offer.
I hated this album when it came out. On reflection, it ain't that bad.

Sometimes it just takes another pass and then it grows on you. I'll still choose to appreciate non-sellout trash and the non-pop Cure. Everything post-Wish has been abysmal with the exception of 4-5 songs over the last 15 years.
Mixed Up came to kind of symbolize the impending suckage of the Cure with age. As a die-hard fan, its bittersweet, but we all know Robert has his pop fetish and sometimes it turns out like Let's Go To Bed. Just very rarely.

I am a sucker for remixes and The Cure does a superb job with them, so much so that I prefer the Mixed Up versions of Let's Go To Bed, Fascination Street, and A Forest to the originals. A Forest's Tree Mix (which is the version on this album... iTunes has it labled incorrectly) is my single favorite Cure song ever. I could listen to it over and over and never tire of it. If you're into trance-like tunes and haven't heard The Cure before, this is the album to check out.

A forest, lullaby, fascination street, caterpillar, everything just great songs! My dad showed them to me when I was younger and I loved them ever since!
