This is a solid album of duets she had done up till then. There are two new tracks with Barry Manilow and Josh Groban. The stand out songs are " I've Got A Crush On You", "I Have A Love/One Hand One Heart", "One Less Bell To Answer/A House Is Not A Home" a duet with herself!, "The Music Of The Night" and of course "Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again with the Legendary Judy Garland!

Barbra's duet with Michael Crawford on Phantom of the Opera's "The Music Of The Night" is just as haunting as the original soundtrack !!!!

I love the song but the process of purchasing it on ITunes was very frustrating for this song and for my purchase of All Night Long several days earlier. Once you want the song you have to add it to your Wish List and then try to find the Buy It button! I felt like I needed to hire a hacker to get the purchase finalized. It needs to be easier than it is!

I love this album and the collaborations are great. MUST BUYS are "Happy Days Are Here Again" and my favorite, "Tell Him", with the incredible Celine Dion.

I love me some Babs!! I do wish that we could buy all of the songs individually. There are some songs on here I don't care for, and my FAVORITE one is of course Album Only. Thanks iTunes always looking out for yourself.

Every song is a gem, from the emotionally powerful and poignant "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" with the iconic Neil Diamond to an amazing duet with Vince Gill. I hate Barbra's politics, but I love her voice and talent. Streisand, Diamond, Jackson and Denver--shining stars that can't be touched by anyone else. Bab's attention to detail and vocal perfection is very evident in this compliation album. Surprising is a beautiful duet with Barry Manilow and the wonderful Josh Groban. True perfection is found in her duet with Michael Crawford in "The Music of the Night." Each note is a masterpiece. A fantastic album!

Her voice is wonderful! I remember hearing "All I ask of you" and falling in love with that song! Another good song of hers is "I Finally Found Someone".

This cd featured a collection of different covers for a "limited time" and I believe I have the one featured here on iTunes. The songs herein are the duets Barbra recorded through the years with various guests, some of these songs were major hits and should have been featured on "The Essential Barbra" but their inclusion here makes this cd a "completer set" of sorts. Track one brings together two powerhouse vocalists, Barbra and Barry Manilow. The duet had all the makings of a major hit but sadly the song fizzled. Track ten is with Johnny Mathis which can be had on her "Back To Broadway" set and "One Less Bell To Answer" is from her "Barbra Joan Streisand" set and it's Barbra duetting with herself. The last song "All I Know Of Love" is with Josh Groban and it should have been a bit more popular than it was. "I've Got A Crush On You" is the duet with Frank Sinatra recorded for his celebrated "Duets" sessions and "Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead" is sung with Harold Arlen whose own voice is best described as "eclectic." I could go into more detail on who is who but listening will make the partner obvoius. The overall mastering of this disc I take a small issue with, it seems a bit "muffled" to me and could have been a lot cleaner. Outside of this minor detail this is a well thought out collection.

Songs that seem composed to be sung by Streisand. Some of the most beautiful songs ever-- and some of the archest and most difficult (see Sondheim's contributions) -- sung like this will bring tears to your eyes-- and chills up your spine. Brava. :)
  • Celene Dion and Barb are my idols

Whenever this song comes on, on my iTunes playlist I immediatley have chills running down my spine. Celine and Barbra's voices make this song a legend that no one will never forget. This an amazing song, sung by amazing vocalists. Perfect match and sweeeet song.
  • Babs does it again!

I have been told on numerous occasions that I have an extensive knowledge of the career of Barbra Streisand. It all began at an early age when I was captivated by her performance in Hello Dolly. In fact, I chose to write about her for my masters thesis paper. I am calling it, "Yentleman Prefer Blondes." That said, she delivers in this one again. Babs has had some magical moments sharing the stage with lesser talents than herself. This is one of the rare qualities that makes her special. She can take someone who has a very inferior voice and transform it into something rich and powerful. If you haven't already purchased this masterpiece, do so now. For every moment you don't have it in your library is another moment you are missing out on potential happiness.

I'm usually very so, so, about Barbra Streisand. She has a great voice but I've never really liked most of her song choices because I didn't feel they did her voice justice. Duets is different. With the exception of the cut that includes Frank Sinatra, which I have since trashed because I simply can't stand him, all the cuts are great and show the versatility of this great artist. If you like Streisand, you'll love this album.
