This album shows a more mature, vulnerable artist. Based on some of the reviews, people are still checking for the Lizzo from the prior albums, but this one represents something different. The “mix tape” album that came before this…I didn’t understand. It seemed to be like she was trying to prove herself to the “cool kids” instead of being her true musical self. This album seems like more of the progression and growth that you’d anticipate. Kudos.
