Let me start by saying that this is not K-pop! This is a masterpiece that goes beyond K-pop! I came after reading the NME review, and wow! Simply, BRAVO!

As RM had stated, this album clearly shows what’s going on in his brain. This is what I love about RM. He is honest about his thoughts and feelings, and his lyricism is top notch. He is one of the best poets and a true artist. I can’t wait until he is discharged from the military and release another masterpiece. With the military experience and the hurricane currently sweeping through Hybe, I’m sure he will have a lot to say in his next album.

Amazing lyrics and flow and it pays homage to a lot of classic hip hop. Absolutely so skips. BTS PAVED THE WAY

This album delivers…PERIOD! I wasn’t sure what to expect after Indigo, but then again I should’ve known better. This album deserves more recognition than it currently gets and DEFINITELY deserves to be listened by anyone who enjoys groovy sounds with amazing bass and guitar. 👏🏼👏🏼💜

I love this album and it’s divergence from the traditional K-pop sound. I adore it’s eccentricity! As I’ve seen written about Namjoon before, RM is a rapper who happens to also be an idol. We as ARMY are blessed that RM allows us a deeper dive into his heart and mind. This album is a diary. RM has always been poetic. With the way my mind works, sometimes it’s hard for me to understand his words. I typically rely on other ARMY to elaborate on his words and explain theories. Regardless, I can feel the heart that RM pours into his work. I’ll always support him!

RM made this album for himself- and I think he got his point across! The style and sound throughout is so unique! Sadly, it won’t be on repeat for me if I can’t share most of the songs with my family or friends. I can handle some cursing, but not taking the Lord’s name in vain. 😢(I’ve made that choice with almost all BTS solo projects-but there’s plenty other songs of theirs to enjoy! 💜) Having said that, I admire that RM is unapologetic and I respect him for that! He really is so talented and RPWP deserves to be recognized❣️

I loved this album Joonie and I hope you know that the ppl that say that it is trash are just to stupid to understand that your a star! And the haters just wish they could be you! And I hope the haters know that they can’t get to him bc he doesn’t have time for them. And remember when BTS would get hate comments in English and Namjoon would translate them to complements? He is the best leader, haters! So leave BTS and ARMY alone! I will always love you💜💜💜

When am I going to learn not to expect predictable from RM and the guys, sigh. I still don’t know what my favorite song in the album is, between the sick transition between Nuts and Out of love, the flow switches and the production/instrumental transitions. And his singing and the lyrics. I catch myself humming to Domodachi here and there, that strange sax? clarinet? Oboe? What is that instrument? And Around the World in One Day blows my mind every time. I love that he’s experimenting with so much. Going from the teenager anxious about proving himself with rap to this all rounded musician who’s not afraid to go in new directions all the time. A true explorer. I like it more with every listen.

This album may not be what ppl are used to and that’s okay! I think it’s amazing he explored into something he is proud of. I can’t stop listening and appreciate every second of it. Let’s just celebrate the evolution of Namjoon rather than compare and judge him for his past music.

RM spent his last year before having his freedom taken away from him for 18 months doing what he loves. How dare anyone leave such disgusting reviews and continue to call themselves ARMY. Shame on you. This album is a complete work of art. If you don’t get that you don’t deserve to call yourself a fan. RM is a lyrical genius.

One of the things that attracted me to BTS was their meaningful music without all the unnecessary cursing. Once in a while, I get it but this album is nothing but that: unnecessary cursing. Namjoon is the philosopher/poet of the group. He could have done so much more! Mono and Indigo were jewels, but in RPWP he chose what seems to me to be the easiest route; throw the F, B, and every other bomb in the book and move on. ARMY will buy it. Feels lazy and aside from the music/melodies, the lyrics are meh 😒

Since I am an older ARMY (‘77 baby), I grew up listening to everything from country, rock, alternative, early rap, instrumental and house. This album makes me happy because I can see so how many different styles of music he used. It’s serious, yet it’s fun. It’s a reflection of lots of emotions, which is how we all live.
  • Truly a work of art

So I see a few people calling this album trash, which could NOT be farther from the truth. Is this K-pop? No, it’s more k-indie/alternative. By default, that would relate to a smaller population. He didn’t make this album to be mainstream. He did it to let out his deepest struggles and feelings. It has many beautiful lyrics, and layers, and I think is one of his most authentic albums to date. It’s more explicit in terms of curse words, for some that may be considered “too much.” But this man is 30…I myself am 31–we are not children, so he shouldn’t be catering to those with more sensitivities. Don’t like cursing? Move on. You don’t need to insult the artist for a style that may not be to your taste. It’s not going to be everyone’s style, especially if one’s music taste is only to the genre of pop. I personally listening to almost any genre. I loved indigo, and with this album, it did take me a few listens to truly appreciate the songs like LOST, Come back to me, etc etc. I had to read the lyrics and actually sit and think (which is what this album is meant to make you do.) Nuts and Groin and Around the World I liked immediately. I can’t stop listening to it now, and I am not someone who just listens to something to support. Only if I truly like it. I’m currently going through many of the same feelings that he has expressed in this album and he has made a profound effect on me this week. Thank you for releasing this Namjoon.
