He’s the one of 3 of the greatest artist ever in the music industry, Prince and James Brown are the other two, I’m sorry but with this compilation, the cameo appearances on this were weak, newer generation artist could never be as good as the original legend, let alone cameo with him!.

I’m glad that they released the 1982 album again to a point. But what they could’ve done for the second disc is include all of the 1982 demos that were recorded instead of taking all of the remix is from 2008. It’s the same stuff. When you get the physical disc, you only get two of them. But here you get three if you want to dub them onto CD. Not something I would pick up myself. Even though I am a fan of Michael’s.

As we all know, Thriller is an incredibly well known album with huge phenomenal hits like “Billie Jean”, “Beat it”, “Thriller”, “You wanna be starting something” and so on. This album has destroyed racial barriers especially to black artists because they almost never played any black music on the radio before then. Thriller has won Michael a whopping 8 grammy wins, rightfully deserved!! His hands were FULLL that night. 🥹 40 years later, it still has the record of being the Biggest Selling Album of all time!! No one has touched that huge achievement since then even 13 years after Michael’s passing, which is again, just incredible. Michael Jackson was and still is the greatest entertainer to have ever lived, but he should also be known as the humanitarian/philanthropist that he was and the thousands of families he has helped through-out his life time. He was a blessing to this earth and the way that he was treated was incredible inhumane and beyond sickening. He deserved to rest after all the horrible situations he’s been put through. Please, if you have any negative thoughts on Michael and on the allegations, do proper research on it. Read the court transcripts, watch Michael Jackson: Square One on Amazon Prime to see what really happened and all the lies and manipulation the accusers has done to try to ruin Michael’s career. That man was BEYOND innocent!!! Do me a favor and help to always keep Michael’s legacy alive, that’s what Michael would’ve wanted. 🫶🏼 Buy Thriller 40 on iTunes and order the CD too!! It would make an amazing gift for the Holidays. manyyy great unreleased material Michael wrote for Thriller through his heart and soul. Long live Michael Jackson: The King of Pop’s legacy!!!

When I saw members of the Black Eyes Peas were involved I thought “Uh…nope”
I did like the “Beat It” demo and loved the energy of “Can’t Get Out of the Rain”. That is classic MJ dance music.
The rest of the new offerings are meh.
And considering what Kanye is going through, why would the estate want associated with MJ. MJ already had enough of his own baggage.
Finally, changing the title song to Thriller from Starlight was the right move.
Wait for Thriller 50!

God this album is such a vibe. Driving down at 6 pm, sky’s dark, play the new cd for a new thriller anniversary album, and I felt like a 80s kid despite being born in 2005. Who do you know is honestly my top favorite song of the album. I love the amazingly well done R&B vibes and it’s chill energy it gives out. Honestly nothing can top this best selling album of all time, and it still proves why it is STILL the best album of all time worldwide. Nothing can top this!!!

I was waiting and waiting for this. I thought it was going to feature some unreleased tracks. Apparently like someone mentioned on here. They took the original tracks and remixed them all over again. I prefer the originals NOT the remixes.

The unreleased song is amazing and I love it showing how Michael did it even though he doesn’t want to put it in thriller but it made it to the best that he ever tried and also Michael Jackson’s thriller 40th anniversary turned out to be amazing for showing the things that Michael did

While the addition of more demos is greatly appreciated, there were still demos leaked from years ago like “Niteline” and “Hot Street” that were left out of this edition. I was truthfully looking forward to seeing a remaster of those wonderful demos. The Thriller Megamix was also a let down as it was more of an overly complicated mashup with a dance club beat, when all it really needed to be was a track with slightly altered versions of the songs with seamless transitions. Despite the slightly limited demo selection and the lackluster Megamix, it was nice seeing Michael Jackson’s estate not only commemorate one of his best works, but officially release older content that newer fans may have never knew existed and further expanding the legacy of a musical icon.
