AMAZING SONG

This song is so emotional and it perfectly combines the best of rock and a softer form of music. This is by far billy Joel’s best work in my opinion. It speaks to your heart even if you can’t relate to what he’s singing about, and it speaks of how we all have dreams that we can’t always achieve

He went thru a really hard time during his youth and he knew what he wanted. People with vision and talent were in there to help. His life is a great story even though filled with grief. I have loved his music since the seventies and look forward to the future albums he can publish. I wish much happiness for his future. He deserves it.

So Billy Joel doesn't have an ear for words? Just listening to one or two of the many, many great songs he's written over the years, especially ones such as "Falling of the Rain" or "Piano Man", for goodness sake, makes it easy to see that, on the contrary, Billy Joel is a fine lyricist, an amazing one! So what if he had a few ambiguous lines? Who doesn't? Billy Joel can write lyrics just as well as he can write music, and he could do it even BEFORE Piano Man; before his break-out album, before he became the experienced musician he is today. I disagree with iTunes; Billy Joel DOES have an ear for words. And it's how he uses them that made him the classic pop genius we all know and love.

What's up with the sick cover? Feeling depressed, Billy?? I like Piano Man, but that is just creepy.
Just Kinda- Umm... IDK, I don't like it.

I'm not a fan of him at all. Besides Piano Man, his songs are creepy and weird. Also, I swear if I saw that album cover in a dark alley... well, you know what I mean. I can't stand swearing.
Awsome!

What can I say...he's the man (along with Elton John of course). Billy Joel is an incredible pianist, singer, and harmonica player. Piano Man is by far one of my favorite songs and will forever remain a classic.
awesome!

i dont know how you dont give this 5 stars. when you think of billy joel, you think of the piano man - he is the piano man - yeah, travilin' prayer is a little weird at the end, but its somewhat unique! "aint no crime" is a great mix of what i call piano rock, and gospel (note: listen for the background singers) I dont know why, but i just love "worse comes to worst" theres a line: "i do my writing on my road guitar, and make a living out of piano bar" im pretty sure hes talking about himself - not just because he says "I". All in all, you should buy this, you wont regret it!

Clearly some people have a taste for this sort of music. Why, however, is beyond me. The lyrics to Billy Joel's songs are right in line for a former boxer... brain dead and boring. Filling in space by singing "la da de da de da" is something I would expect from a childrens nursery song. (It's almost as bad as "back ack ack ack ack...") He might as well have released the Do Re Mi song. The best thing I can say about Billy is that some of his music is slightly reminiscient of the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Unfortunately, to mention them in the same sentence is heresy. My taste in music ranges from Bach and Beethoven to Stephen Foster and Miles Davis clear through to KISS, Metallica and Dr. Dre. I like Elton John and Bob Seger, I like Madonna and Duran Duran. Come to think of it, I love GOOD music. Of any kind. Billy Joel does not fit into that equation. I want my .99 back.
