Highly anticipated “debut” album is an absolute letdown. Outside of the songs with famous features I skip through it.
Some tracks sound old. His voice is off.
I thought I was a fan or maybe I just tried to be because of the state of today’s hip hop.
But w/o a famous feature East is mediocre at best ...

This album I had a lot of hope for especially with the docu series on YouTube pushing it. East is fire and def one of my favorites. Wish there were more songs low key. There was some heat in those YouTube videos that didn’t make it that I wish did. That joint with him and the three singers reminded me of dreams and nightmare intro. 🔥 Overall pretty solid, great beats, good lyrics.

As a long time East fan, this album here truly shows his growth not only as an artist, but as a father and a man in general. I admire how he can still spit about his struggle even though those days are long gone. His music is so relatable even if you haven’t gone through the same experience he has. He has a way of captivating fans from all walks of life with his story telling abilities, artistry, and authenticity. This project tops his Paranoia EP’s which had a few good songs, but Survival was the only drop I was able to listen to straight through multiple times without skipping.
