Who decides what “country” is. I mean seriously other artists mix and match genres so why can’t a country artist do the same? Remember You Young is probably my fav right now and you haters need to back off. TR you are a great guy. Keep playing your unique style and don’t pay attention to the narrow minded haters.

I’ve listened to you since I was 8 and absolutely fell in love with your songs! The one that really stuck with me and first song I listened to you by you was life changes and that song has been with my forever! I love how you include your family in your songs bro! Your energy and love for your family and how you include them in your songs is so heartwarming and never stop doing that! No matter what some people on here just stay yourself because that’s the best thing. I know you don’t know me well and you may never see this but I truly love and appreciate all the work you have done and your songs truly have an influence on me and my life! I went to one of your concerts this year in boise Idaho and it was amazing! Thanks for being such a good guy!

No pop there. But even the rest of the music is way too good to not listen to it just because it’s off genre. “Look What God Gave Her”, “Remember You Young”, and “Barefoot” just shows that no matter what genre, Thomas Rhett is full of talent and will be one of the world’s best singers to me.

Most of this is just pop about his wife disguised as country but what disappoints me most is how good Beer Can’t Fix could’ve been without all the autotune and added electronic noises and stale lyrics for the most part of it, Pardi (or Midland) would’ve done a much better job just by himself and his/their producers and songwriters/songwriting abilities and made that song so good. Overall this album just falls way short and is very repetitive, hopefully Thomas’ next album exceeds this because I do like him as a person and as an artist. 🤙

Why tf do you care if it’s labeled as country? Would you listen to the song if it were labeled as pop like you want it? Or do you just not want songs that you don’t like labeled as country? Are you simply too uncomfortable listening to songs outside the country genre? Why are country fans so stingy about their favorite artists becoming more like pop artists? If you hate the country-pop evolution then why don’t you go find more country music that you like?
A genre is just a label for heaven’s sake, it’s not meant to govern what people listen to, just to help them find a style that they like and help them to find music in that style. I like Alternative and Pop a lot, I’m a fan of Rap/Hip-Hop, and I’m interested in Country. Binding yourself to one genre is simply stupid and you miss a lot of good songs by doing so.
