I’ve been a fan of Train since day one, and while I can understand why some fans may not be happy with what they’re doing now, I agree with people like Douglass in Denver where if people don’t like it, they should move on and find something else to enjoy.
If I had to pick my favorite songs from this album, they’d be “Drink Up,” “Working Girl,” “Silver Dollar,” and of course, “Play That Song.” Overall, I highly recommend this album if you love what Train is doing now and have friends who love their music!
Rest in peace, Charlie Colin, and thank you for finding such a wonderful band who has brought so much joy to so many people through their music! :)

Did no one pay attention to this song??? Barely anyone saw it on YouTube, either. I heard this on my cousin’s phone while it was Bluetooth-connected to my aunt’s car. I loved it.
No one commented about “Working Girl” or “Loverman”, either. I enjoyed those very much, along with “Silver Dollar”, which is also underrated.
Oh, and by the way, in the iTunes REVIEW, it says that “Play That Song” is BASED OFF “Heart And Soul”. Chew on that, haters.
And by the way, songwriting is something that changes and matures as you age. I’ve written several of my own, and all but two are very different from each other. Their old style was fantastic, but I’m digging this new pop sound. I LIKE pop. And pop rock. Long as it’s clean and it doesn’t talk about nasty things.
I like “Valentine”. A lot. “Play That Song” and “Valentine” make me want to just get up and dance. They’re so HAPPY and LIGHT!
I enjoyed this entire album. A few of them sounded the same, but they have been at it for a LONG time and they’re still going. Still with new stuff. I LIKE this!

Play That Song is horrible. Period. Not because Train took the melody from Heart and Soul, which is fine to me, but because the actual quality of the song is trash. Yes, TRASH. The verses aren't even like singing, he just seems to be saying things while changing the pitch of his voice. Great. The chorus leaves much to be desired with him asking someone to "play that song." Uh...what song? Vocals could and should be improved upon and lyrics need to be...better. This song isn't even played on the radio often, there is only one station in my area that dares to play it. The others seem to want to keep their listeners. Smart.
I also listened to Drink Up, among the others. Just no. Once again, they lyrics "totally make sense" and are "melodic." Train moving away from their hits of Drops of Jupiter, Hey Soul Sister, and others. This could be the end of Train.

Don't count me as a hater of "Play That Song". I found it to be a catchy, fun, and a bit nostalgic. This was one of the first songs I learned how to play on the piano. Sooooo, yeah it took me waaaay back. It was fun to listen how Train reinvented this tune and made it relevant to today with lyrics and a slightly different beat. I say good for them. Is this Grammy material? No! Is it fun? Definitely! That's why I put a crowbar in my wallet, pried it open and bought the song!

I just recently saw Train in concert and it was amazing! All the songs on this album are unique and very fun. My three favorites would be Play That Song, Drink Up, and The News. Train has been great ever since the release of "Train". Love it!

I have been a Train fan since 2012, and it upsets me to admit that I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this album. It's WAY too "pop" sounding for Pat's voice. I wish Train would go back to the sound they had in "California 37". The only song I like on this album is "You Better Believe". Sorry Train =(
