I can't recommend The Gloaming highly enough. Just breathtakingly beautiful music, dynamic, stately, lively, mesmerizing, this music will feed your soul.

The artists on this album truly have talent. I have enjoyed getting lost in the songs I downloaded from their self-titled album immensly. Really wish there was some way to know if a song is fully instrumental beforehand of the purchase. The two songs in my title are the only two without human voice from the snippets. Good music is worth the investment of time, just hope I don't download them and THEN hear a voice. . . Seems like the first album was more about the music and not so much the vocals, so that's why I liked the first one more, but this rating does not, by any mean, mean I don't like the musicians or the music.

The album is fantastic! I just had the pleasure of seeing this group at Duke University, and their performance of this beautiful music took me to a different place. Martin Hayes and Caoimhin O Raghallaigh's playing is exquisite. Thomas Bartlett’s talents with his love of sound and rhythm add an extra element of joy to the ensemble. Dennis Cahill’s guitar playing keeps the group in the pocket. I loved this album and if you ever get the chance to see them in person, treat yourself!
